M&J's wedding weekend in the Riviera Maya region of Mexico was a celebration of color, warmth, and love.
The weekend began with a rehearsal dinner, welcoming guests to their beach-side resort with a tequila tasting and multi-course dinner overlooking the ocean. For the wedding day, the couple's nuptials were held at the gorgeous El Pueblito at Mayakoba, embracing the Groom’s Mexican heritage in the most beautiful setting. From the bold and bright colors in the design, hand-made details from local artisans, and the authentic menu featuring some of the most delicious traditional Mexican dishes, this intimate destination wedding was a feast for the eyes…and the stomach.

M&J's wedding weekend began with a rehearsal dinner held at an outdoor restaurant overlooking the ocean. Complete with a tequila tasting and Mexican-themed welcome baskets filled the the couple's favorite local snacks, the intimate feast set the perfect tone for the celebrations to come.

Held in the beautiful chapel located at El Pueblito at Mayakoba, the Catholic ceremony was the highlight of the wedding day, embracing the traditional architecture of the region, and decorated only by candlelight.

The outdoor reception was held in the courtyard of the El Pueblito plaza, surrounded by globe lights strung between the brightly colored buildings.
Cocktail hour was highlighted with a local mariachi band, serenading guests as they walked from the chapel over to the dining area.

For M&J’s intimate dinner, we prioritized bright colors and details reflective of the country we were in. From papel picado menus strung with bright pink ribbon and small brass milagro heart charms, traditional handmade Oaxaca candles, Otomi-patterned table runners, palm details such as fans and woven charger plates, and many more, purposefully included in the table design to tell their story and embrace the Groom's Mexican heritage.

With an intimate wedding such as this, although dancing is fun, the dinner itself is the star.
Working with an incredible local caterer, the Chef put together an incredible authentic Mexican feast, pulling together all of the beauty and tastes of the area...from fresh ceviche to start, ending with piping hot churros with spiced chocolate, the meal was a love letter to Mexico.
